+1 on what Soren said. One of the non-Sony earbud sets I tried had a little nub on the back of the earbuds. I guess it was some kind of "bass port" or some such nonsense. Well, that little extra nub was just enough to be excruciating under my helmet (at least I got an extra set of silicon inserts out of the deal). Those Sony's are perfect. They don't stick out at all.
