I get mixed reations, as someone said, the old timers who have been riding since Hitler was a corpral and have forgotten more about motorcycles than I know, give a good look over ask a lot of questions and show nothing but respect.Have not had any of those type say it rsembled an HD at all.

The RUB's (rich urban bikers) that bought HD's because they didnt know anybetter and have 1500 miles on an 02, don't know what they are lookin at anyway.

And as was pointed out there are quite a few features on the America that are nothing but Triumph, biggest being the engine. And it does look more like an old Triumph than a new Hardly.

Americans in general have been brianwashed by Hollyweird and
Madison Ave. Into thinking HD is the only "real bike" out there. And if you want to be cool you have to ride one.

Lastly It's my understanding that Triumph named the bike "America" in tribute to American styling. Kind of a class move on they're (Triumph's) part I think.

The only slighly negitive comment I got from an old timer was when I frist got the bike, He said "Man, that dont sound like a Triumph". Had to agree with him.

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced While you're living beyond all your means And the man in the suit has just bought a new car From the profit he's made on your dreams
