Painting aluminum is tricky business. Be sure to use the proper primer.
Pro paint/coatings places know this, of course.
There's also anodizing..... Heck, polish that rear wheel and then clear anodize it. The shine will outlast the rest of the bike.
If one is serious about the front wheel, the he won't mind spending the time to hand polish it, too. No pain, no gain.
