This picture has bee the bane of my life for the last week!!!
I've tried all ways to scan it then reduce the size to fit this site - took it to a mate who managed it in 3 minutes flat! Bugger ...
The write-up says things like:
1. 2007 project.
2. Goldwing competition.
3. Spies say the project is past the drawing board and into clay modeling.
4. Cruise control ditched on cost grounds.
5. Revised gearing to keep rvs low at higher speed.
6. No footpegs - replaced with boards.
7. Raked-back bars (like Classic?).
8. Plusher seat with more upright riding position.
9. Electronically adjustable screen.
10. Fairing mounted anti-vibration mirrors.
11. Adjustable side panels to the fairing for rider adjustment.
12. High back seat for pillion.
13. A selection of 12V power outlets around the bike (heated clothing?).
14. No bike specific sat-nav or stereo developed yet
15. Clocks remain with added fuel gauge.
16. Shaft drive retained (why wouldn't it??).
The bike is said to be an offspring from early feedback received from Rocket buyers.
It highlighted the idea as a viable option.
Triumph were contacted about the bike and said:
"At the moment all that we can say is that this sounds like speculation that may or may not come true."
I like the idea of the bike.
Obviously we're looking at someones idea of what it might look like but I don't like the nose design - looks dated to me.
I think it looks like an old Trophy!
