Many years ago, I played golf regularly with a group of guys, and we would bet to see who was closest to the pin on the par 3's. We typically played early in the morning and the bet was always for a big cinnamon roll from the clubhouse. Although I think they were called "Bear Claws", one of the guys always joyfully called it a "BIG TEXAS".
These days, I participate in an annual fantasy football league with a different group of guys. With fond memories of the past, I always name my team: Big Texases. An added bonus... I get a kick out of listening to some of my buddies try to say it.
Anyway, I continue to associate the name "Big Texas" with good times - thus the reason for using it as a username.
