I recently found out my dealer replaces the pilot jets right out of the crate with 45's. Even they were too lean after the freak kit, so I put in 48's, screws to 2 1/2 turns, and she runs like a champ now. I can understand "some" emissions control, but lean like that can't be good on an engine. I can understand the confusion of someone tackling this for the first time, so many variables.
