Last Wednesday was 75 degrees 5mph winds and no clouds, today 31 degrees, windy and 3 inches of snow. I'm starting to think that South Dakota wasn't a very good choice of places to call home. To make matters worse tomorrow is my Basic Riders Saftey Course. Not looking forward to it one bit. Maybe everybody here could send up some prayers for sunshine and warm weather. Wish me luck!

What? somthing is wrong here,,, I live in New England and I have a chance to rib other people about thier weather  Been in the 60's and sunny (well except at night) for over a week now.

81 not a cloud in the sky all day.. Tomorrow the same, I have a feeling I will be lobster boy after going to see the Thunderbirds air show tomorrow.

Back to the BRC, good luck and instruction with that. Time spent in slow speed manuevers around cones, curves and instructor's toes is time well-spent. Zooming straight down the road is well, easy as zooming straight down the road.
It is easier dressed normally than like the proverbial Michilin man

Huh? I'm sitting on the deck of a lake house on BEE-OO-TEE-FUL Pickwick Lake, TN having a cup of morning coffee in a pair of shorts and a long sleeve shirt whilst looking out over the clear waters and watching the turtles bob their heads up. I think winter is pretty much over here. Oops, gotta go. The party barge is calling my name...

Well my course was canceled today. They said we would be reimbursed for the course and that we should go home and reschedule for a later course. Now I have to wait until the end of May to take the coures. I'm tempted to go down to the DMV and just take the test to see if I can at least get my liscense. I can always take the course later. It would be better than staring a motorcycle that I cant ride for another 4 weeks.

I too went for a ride on Wed. and 72, we are in the middle of a blizzard supposed to dump between 6" and a foot locally! When I get off work tonight was thinking about going for a ride in it just because! Here is the hoot, we still have ice on the lakes, on the 10th of April, there were still people driving on the lakes with thier trucks! Now that is insane even for locals, but they were reporting ten inch of ice even then!

It was cold and snowing and Feb here in Western Pa the year I took the course to make myself "legal"...
They don't cancel here either and there was a bit of carnage on the day of the test....
Too bad the days of telling people "you just aren't ready to do this" have gone by.

Going to be close to 90 today. At least the humdity will still be below 80%. Went for a breakfast run at sunrise this morning with the wife to avoid the heat. Summer ****** is sneaking in the back door.

Same here, they gave Wendy a list of warm clothes she should have available. Didn't matter if it snowed or how hard it rained.

Well, if you can pass the course under terrible road conditions, you should be ready for riding in nice weather

96 here today. I rode this morning at 0700 with just a light jacket and fingerless gloves. By 0900 twas Summer.
Methinks Winter is history in these parts.
