OK I've done all of the research regarding how to replace my chain (thanks to all for your collective contributions to date).
The way I figure it, it's going to take me a long time to recoup the cost of a breaker / rivot tool. Most have commented that they prefer a rivoted master link simply as peace-of-mind, and a few of the long-time riders claim never any problems w/ the clip-type master links.
Here's my question: If I want to replace my original chain w/ a clip-type master'd replacement, can (and if so, how do) I get the chain off without a tool? Do I have to remove the S arm? Should I just try to Dremel that sucker off instead?
