I agree with that to a degree. But it sure does look like the new engine crash bars are less obtrusive than some others. I look forward to mine arriving as my legs are as long as the longest day in June. I really feel a need to stretch them out on longer comfort rides and the highway pegs will do that for me.
They seem to look less like a "training aid" then some crash bars seen on some bikes.
A co-worker of mine has a brand new shiny 883 Sportster and he has what must be the standard engine crash bars on it and those things are so noticeable that they really do detract even more from what is in my opinion and ugly bike to begin with.
