I was just wondering what you guys that are close to sea lvl are running with this or similar setup. My dealer is recommending 140/42, 2 turn out and no shims. This just seems to me like it woulb be off. Reading throught some of the prior post is looks like some of you guys are running up 160 mains.

I had the same question...I just installed Bub's with air box elimination kit (K&N pods -- also removed AI). I installed 140 mains but left in the stock pilots because I was having a hard time getting then out. What size are the stock pilots on a 2008 Speedmaster - are they 42 anyway? I set the idle mixture screws to about 3 1/4 turns out. I get a little pop sometimes when reving right after start. Adjusting the idle mixture screw is hard with the D - tool - it's hard to tell when they are screwed all the way in as you don't come to a solid stop.

Performance is good although maybe a little sluggish at low throttle.

Hate workin' for the man...

I think they made the stock pilots 40 in later models.

If you're having to set the pilot screws more than 3 turns out, you probably need to go up to the next size pilot jets. If you have 40s go to 42s and go to 45s if you have 42s. Then you would need to reset the mixture screws and they should end up a whole turn in or more.
