This one is more expensive than any other but read about it before you discount it.

The other one like above.
VIsta cruisecontrol

After looking at all three of those site you just listed, that Breakaway is one slick unit, I wouldn't mind paying that much if it actually works as well as they claim. Only thing is I've installed ISO Grips on my bike, does anyone have any experience with these thrttle locks and know if listed Truimph model fits the aftermarket grips or not?

Edit: I should have viewed teh site more in depth, they actually have a specific model that'll also fit the ISO grips. As seen here http://www.brakeawayproducts.com/appguide-5CP02.html

I have the Breakaway on my Speedy (stock grips), It works as advertised. It is easy to use, I Love it!!
Instal wasn't hard, the directions suck, but I figured it out in the end.

YOU DO NEED IT!!!!

It is a safety item, at least that is how I viewed it. My hands cramp up (carpal tunnel) so I have to relax them every now and then. They look good installed, they release with just a tap on the front brake lever, or the thumb release.

Cheers
Wendell

I have the crampbuster that I use for longer trips and I'd recommend it. It's obviously not going to come close to the more expensive jobbies available but for the price, you can't knock it.

or just loosen the bolts securing the control to the handlebar and slide it outward against the end cap.

I don't like either method myself.. I find great comfort in knowing that when I release the throttle, it returns to the fully closed position.

I've installed the break away rig before.. very slick but you will have to modify your grip.

The cramp buster works great for me.. best 5 bucks I've spent.

an o-ring between the bar end weight and the grip. This achieves the same thing as what Chy wrote, " or just loosen the bolts securing the control to the handlebar and slide it outward against the end cap.", i.e., both methods add friction to the throttle grip, allowing it to remain in a fixed position. Place a bit of tape on the rubber o-ring overlapping the tape to form a tab of sorts. That tab can be used to remove the o-ring.

P.S.: I don't override dead man devices.

Man, do I feel like an ******! It's right there in black and white! Well, thanks for the input. I just put on the 5cp02 and it seems to work great! Hope I didn't make a huge mistake!
