Not sure of your wifes build but think that through well. Wendy wanted a T-100 or something along that line when she first started looking thinking the America was too big. The seat hight was actually worse for her on the T-100. She is short only about 5'1. Floor boards and pedal adjustment fixed the control reach for her and risers to bring the bars back for her. I lowered the back 2" for her too but it would have had to be more on the T-100. It is her first bike and at this rate it will also be her last, she loves it.
