So, back to the plot. will harley controls fit? which ones would people recommend. which set of Harley braided cables (model/Year) could be used to replace the stock black ones once the control housing is swapped?
There is little question that this could be done. However, you should take a look at a set of Harley controls. The brake master cyl. is a component fit with the right side switch housing (one cannot really be used without the other). Some companies like Performance Machine and Joker make some beautiful, and expensive, master cyl/clutch lever sets, but you need to watch cyl bore etc. or you may end up with a front brake that actually works well (or not). There are no Harley cables that will fit, two different animals. You would need to have custom cables made up. Mark at Barnett's tool and engineering division in CA does a great job. The actual electrical switches are also available in the aftermarket at a price. From a custom builder's point of view I'd say you won't get much bang for your buck doing any thing of this sort, our controls already look good unlike other bikes that are screaming out for replacement. Or, if you really must, make sure you do your homework.
