Well, in a nutshell Nigel...and seeing as how this situation in Texas may not have made the news over there:

Outside the town of Eldorado TX is where a group of fundamentalist Mormons lived in a compound, until last week when the Texas authorities raided it after claims of alleged child sexual abuse and possibly polygamy.

(hence my jokes about the Cornwall citizenry having a "separate culture" and "a whole lot a wives"....which I'm SURE isn't so....hence the jokes)
