Triumph offers three replacement pipes for the America.

The slash cut TORs and another that looks like the stock pipe only shorter. Has anyone got that one installed?

If so, I would like to know about any noticeable power increase, and loudness compared to the stock ones.

Are there any audio clips of it?

Many thanks

there are much better pipes out there for the money. and any pipe is going to be much louder then the stockers which have no sound

Thank you.

I am trying to get as much power increase as possible for as little noise increase as possible. I am told Triumph pipes are not much louder than stock.

I guess not many people buy them...

I bought a set of long off-road slash cuts when I first got my 03 TA. At that time there were 3 different versions of them - Triumph was trying to find the right sound, I assume. The mechanic at my dealer put them on for me and made the statement that you could look right through them, so the prior versions must have had offset baffles in them.

I put a few thousand miles on them and thought I liked the sound, but after awhile they got real raspy and annoying. I took the plunge and bought Thunderbike pipes and have lived happily ever after. A decent low tone and a performance increase you can feel. But they're not cheap...

I don't know what the Triumph off-roads of today sound like, but I bet they still don't match the TBike pipes.

I have the TORS short pipes and I think they sound wicked. I cant comment on additional performace of TORS becuase I,ve only test ridden with stock pipes.
Overall - very pleased with sound and performance.

I have the Team Triumph Scepter pipes, nice and loud, I like the look and they let the motor breathe. Not cheap, but stainless steel with lifetime warranty.

any of the pipes that allow your engine to breathe will show an increase if coupled with intake changes and proper jetting. Our bikes come lean from the factory so be sure to rejet with any change you make. I personally like my gutted stock pipes. Didn't cost anything except some time and my dyno numbers are very good.
