I have done both, photo bucket isn't working for me at the moment so I can't embed the pix. Pf you click the link on my sig. you can see the risers if photo bucket is working by then.I pulled my bars back 1 1/2" and wendys back 3". I made plates to move everything back at first that went between the chrome mounting plates for the controls and the bar they mount to. That worked fine but then go floor boards and simply adjusted the pedals back. The shifter I took the arm off the shaft where it comes out of the primary and moved it a few teeth then fine tuned with the adjustment on the rod. The break pedal I just adjusted it back. I did all this for Wendy who is about 5'1" and she is comfortable. I would go with the boards and adjustment for the ease of the operation but the plates worked just fine.I don't know if I canibalized the metal I made them from or not, if not I might still have them somewhere.
