Anyone have any info on pulling the brake and shifter ( and pegs) back a bit on either the America or Speedmaster...
2nd question - or has anyone tried handlebar risers on the Speedmaaster to pull back a couple of inches

Too bad Photo Post is still down, but there has been a few people that have relocated the controls more to the rear of the bike. There has even been a guy that relocated them ahead of the exhaust pipes for his long legs (something I've been thinking about since I got the bike). With a little searching, you will be able to find a couple of sites for a companies that can sell kits or quotes for control relocations.

I have done both, photo bucket isn't working for me at the moment so I can't embed the pix. Pf you click the link on my sig. you can see the risers if photo bucket is working by then.I pulled my bars back 1 1/2" and wendys back 3". I made plates to move everything back at first that went between the chrome mounting plates for the controls and the bar they mount to. That worked fine but then go floor boards and simply adjusted the pedals back. The shifter I took the arm off the shaft where it comes out of the primary and moved it a few teeth then fine tuned with the adjustment on the rod. The break pedal I just adjusted it back. I did all this for Wendy who is about 5'1" and she is comfortable. I would go with the boards and adjustment for the ease of the operation but the plates worked just fine.I don't know if I canibalized the metal I made them from or not, if not I might still have them somewhere.

personaly, I like the rivco speedmaster risers. you can get them at newspeedmaster.com for $140.

Raask makes them. Follow the Triumph link on the left to the images mid-page of their peg kit.

They look interesting. Can you see any reason why the footboard kit from Triumph wouldn't work with the Raask stuff.

Question aswered. I e-mail raask and got this reply within a couple of minutes. Now that's what I call a fast response.
Hi John, when you order them just tell them rear sets for T. America/Speedmaster
and I know what you need I don´t use numbers. The pegs and levers are moved over
to the new mounting plates so I don´t see any reason why footboard won´t fit.
The rear sets for this model are mostly for short people many females have this bike
in Sweden and they are not that tall.

I neglected to say both sets of risers I pictured cost about $40 for the pair.

You guys are the best - Thanks for all of this great info.
I finally have the specs I needed to make my decision on a Bike. I wanted the Speedmaster but the reach for the bars AND the pegs was a bit much... this way I can do either adjustment (or both) and I'll be a happy biker.
