Exactly right! I've had almost no close calls at night. The headlamp at night is much more attention-getting than the daylight outline of a bike. That's especialy true if you ride with the high beam on or have dual headlamps. In roughly six years of heavy riding, not even one driver ever pulled out in front of my ol' HD Tourglide at night (side-by-side 5" sealed beams). As soon as I can figure out the best way to do it, I'm adding a second light to my TA (and an airhorn).
