License plate registration in MD is bi-annual at $97 (every two years). We pay the tax on the vehicles value at the time of titling (one time).
I have historic plates on my '66 chopper, which fortunately requires no registration. There is no odometer/speedometer on my bike, so I listed none. The DMV cashier asked me why, and I told her it didn't come with one (the truth). She listed the milage as "Zero".
