A little OT
In CT, we pay property tax on motor vehicles, or else we can't reg them. The towns and state work in collusion with this issue. Yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing the actual 1966 T 100 that was featured in the beginning of the movie "Woodstock." The current owner paid $300 for it some time ago, and it's in perhaps fair to good condition. Without their knowledge of the movie aspect, the town taxes '66 T 100s at a book value of $10,000. With his current tax mill rate, that works out to around $260 per year in tax, reg not included.
I didn't know they were digging that deep for antique values these days. No end to to it...
