Anyone have any feedback on the Air Box Elimination Kit that British Customs sells vs. The Freak that New Triumph Bonneville.com sells? I'm tempted to go with British Customs because they have a good package deal with a Bub's muffler.

Also, any suggestions on how I can jack up my bike to install the air box elimination kit without having to invest in a bike jack?

DO NOT GET THE BRITISH CUSTOMS KIT

The brackets are junk, they dont line up, hard to get right. The tool box is nice though

I took my old airbox out with a sawzall and didnt pull anything but the seat and carb rubbers

Well I did a search and couldn't find the description but if I remember right: one member here made a bike lift using a length of 2X10 and mounting a 4' galvanized pipe with a floor flange and padding the edge with a strip of carpet to protect the frame. Pipe mounts perpendicular to the wide side at one end and then just rotate the board for a simple lift. That way you could pull the rear wheel and remove the air box intact.

That is, of course, only if the sawzall technique doesn't work for you.

If you have a garage with open joist above you can use a strap or 2 and hang the back end from there.
