After you follow bigbill and Gregger's plan to test the battery and you find the battery to be good you'll have to look at the lead coming from the regulator. Mikemm03 did a very good hack at upping his wire gauge to improve his charging recently and you could follow his mod to increase the charge to the battery (assuming the regulator hasn't crapped in which case you need to go here ). Most batteries require a charge of approx. 14V at around 2k rpm to recharge fully and that output also indicates a good regulator. The weenie wire running to the fuse block and battery isn't really big enough straight from the factory...
