Last SUnday, the weather finally allowed me to get my (new to me) 2002, TBA on the road for a real ride. I've been wanting to go to Deal's Gap since I first heard about it, unfortunately, my 1968, Bonneville had different ideas. It was a great ride and I'm glad to say the only thing I left on the road was rubber. Loads of fun, I'll have to get out there again soon!

Sounds like a lot of fun to me. I'm trying to figure out how to get both my car and bike there to run it with both vehicles. Have you ordered your pictures?
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Deals Gap rocks,, I am going up there in a few weeks for the Busa Bash.. Will be about 150 hayabusa's up there for the weekend.. I wont be on a busa, but will be trailering up a GSXR6 I have in the warehouse.. Should be a good time, if you can make it back come on , I may take jessica and she will be ridding her BA if she goes.

I'm not sure I'll want to see them. I'm pretty sure abject terror isn't a "cool" look!

LOL!! I saw the tree, and I saw all the plastic. There was a pair of Fox racing boots too. I may head up there again in a couple of weeks. I have a feeling this could become an addiction.

That's why we are all hooked on the Georgia rally. Deals Gap may be more compressed but all of the roads are like that while we ride for the week. Plus you get to meet so many good people from here.

Back in So. Cal one of my favorite rides was to the Rock Store along the Mulholland HWY through the Santa Monica Mountains. I've learned a new respect for mountain roads now.

It's on my list along with the Cherohala Skykway

Yeah, what a bunch of weenies. If the guy was really needing fast transport, his buddies ain't gonna be able to do it on the back of one of their bikes. I would have definately stopped to offer help. But anyway, thats one serious goldwing rider in the previous video! STILL, it seems wrong to risk everybody else coming down the road at ya if you lose it. If you love the thrill, don't do it at the expense of the innocent! I'm pretty sure we're gonna include the dragon on our way back home from our trip in May. Thanks to the people who made me aware of it on a previous question post.

Personally, i think the Cherahala Skyway is a much nicer road. Beautiful views, sweeping bends and much less chance of being taken out by some wayward rider taking a corner to fast and taking out riders coming in the other direction.
Everytime i been to the Gap someone is being dragged out from the ditch. And i never go to the Gap on a weekend. Far to many young kids up there on their sportbikes. Weekdays there are lots of sportbikes up there as well, but in my experience the weekday riders are are little more skilled then the weekend warriors.

That's the truth. When I was there Sunday, I came around a corner where about eight other bikers pulled over to yank a bike out of a ditch.
