I'm thinking about a Kawasaki Concours for 2 up touring. When I bought my Speedmaster, my wife had never been a passenger, and hadn't shown any inclination to be one. Well she got the bug, and now likes to ride with me. Unfortunately the Speedmaster just isn't a good bike for 2 up trips out here in the west with 75 mph speed limits and long distances to get anywhere.

The Concours is cheap, has a bullet proof 100 hp Ninja motor, is cheap, has big saddlebags, is cheap, goes great with a Givi top box, and it's cheap.

Did I say it was cheap?

Seriously though, although it's not the latest high tech machine on the road, for about $8,000 new you get a lot of bike. And since it's been around for 20 years there's all kinds of aftermarket mods from guys with similar operations to Brent. I can add bar risers, lower the pegs, and even put on highway pegs to give my bad knees some relief.
