Decided I needed another ride to pimp out. Picked up this little gem today. Charlie approves...

Benny, love the apes. Those are some fancy rims too, looks like more than 80 spokes on each one. Easy on the wheelies now, we don't want you pulling any muscles.

Get real, Paul. There's only one ramp that scoot will travel. That's a trailer queen if ever I saw one. No jumps with that one. Nice ride Benny. I suppose you'll be hittin' the show circuit.

I had a schwin sting ray with the 5 spd stick shift. I gave it away when I was in my late teens, who knew it would ever be worth anything. I gave it to a family that couldn't afford things like that for her kids.

dang near the same one I had. wish I had it still. would look silly trying to ride it though. the reason I noticed the spokes was my son had a freestyle bike that he jumped with and the wheels had 40 spokes apiece, (more than normal) but that one looked like at least 80.still wouldn't want to jump with that one.

I think they are 144. No sweet jumps yet Pedro. I think it's a stingray knockoff, which I am fine with! I've been keeping my eye out for a while for something I can just grab and go around the block a few times on. A little activity is better than none... As for moving me, come on!! You guys! I'll be good I swear!

Man, I love those radial spoke wheels and chrome, chrome, chrome. You gonna rejet it?

My dad refused to get me a Raleigh Chopper when I was a kid. He was a wise man, saw the center of gravity behind the rear axle, recognized imminent danger. Fast forward 30 years, I find a mint origional Raleigh Chopper next to a dumpster. I clean it up, polish it, weld a broken seat bracket, good as new! The day I gave it to my nephew (who recognized how cool it was immediatly)I said..."Kyle,watch this",the front tire came up and I went down like a ton of bricks breaking my tail bone. My dad was always right!

It's ok Dwight. I have to bend my legs so much, it keeps the junk up off the seat.

What kind of mileage do you get? Do you think a belt drive would be better. Is the engine reliable? Looks kind of worn and cranky to me.

Thanks. I have a friend that claims he knows his walls and swore that the wall in the background was a southern "slave" wall. I told him it looked like an old rock wall to me.

That's Connecticut field stone, AKA glacial till. Most of the rock walls in New England were just farmers clearing the land so they could gro crops or graze sheep. Did you know at one time Vermont was like 75% pasture?!? Crazy considering the mountains.

That is interesting! Thanks for the info, you just helped me win a bar bet with a Fatboy rider. I'll have to go back to the Northeast again soon!

Not really Benny, look at Switzerland. They even have cow pastures in the middle of cities like Luzern!!! Of course, the cows all have 2 longer legs and 2 shorter legs for standing on hillsides, but....

Vermont also has more flat land up north along Champlain which helps... But still, my town is like 90% mountain, so it just seems weird! It is cool being able to go hiking pretty much anywhere and find an old rock wall.
