my question is, was there any special considerations when you took the forks off. Would I have to replace seals or anything? Again awesome scooter.

Thanks,
You will need to replace:
1. the oil seals,
2. the fork oil (slightly more than 1 litre which is annoying as they come in 1 litre bottles),
3. and the bottom copper washers.
You can save your copper washers by heating up to red hot and then leaving to cool, but one of mine had a crimp in it so I could not save.

When powder coating you will also need to remember to tape up the inside of the lower tubes so that they are not coated, and either plug the fender mount holes or re-tap them with 8mm bottom tap.

Also it is a good time to lower the forks when you have them all apart, that is if you want to. Mine are lowered 1 inch.
