And don't forget Ben Hur, "A good actor" in Waynes World 2, and etc. etc.......

An awesome actor who dared to go against the hollywood liberal (progressive) grain.

Much media attention was paid to his efforts on behalf of the NRA, especially in later years. Some news outlets have mentioned how active he was marching in the civil rights movement in the early-mid 60's.

He was also pretty darn good in "Touch Of Evil"(though maybe mis-cast a bit) and in "The Big Country", one of my favorite westerns. And speaking of westerns, he was really good in "Will Penny".

R.I.P. Mr. Heston.

A fine man and ...indeed he flew in the face of all that is currently reprehensible about Hollywierd and its current cast of misbegotten derelicts.

I believe the short list of "fine men" in hollywierd is now troublingly short....sadly.

With the passing of another of the Old Gaurd

John Wayne has company now.

The Ten Commandments was one of his blockbusters. I don't care much Science Fiction but I loved Soylent Green. Chuck Conners played the Soylent hit man. I didn't know that he participated in civil rights marches, although I knew he was active in politics. I agree he was great actor that will be missed.
