I saw a good bumper sticker today. I’ll have to paraphrase it though

Quote:

The reason animal rights nuts hate fur more than leather is that it’s easier to harass rich women than bikers.

I like it

Not too long ago I saw a Volvo station wagon stopped at a light with like 20 animal rights bumper stickers plastered all over the back of it. I pulled up next to her, and the driver was this stuck-up looking middle-age woman (with her window down, bad move). After looking over a minute I realized something funny - so I lifted my visor and said to her:
"NICE LEATHER SEATS, LADY!!!"

She turned bright red and wouldn't look at me til the light turned green.

What is it with volvo drivers being so vocally active in things? I was on the ferry one time, we had just gotten called back to the cars. IT was REAL hot, and there isn't much air moving down there. Being sensitive to heat, I turned the car on so I could get AC (and re-circ to not suck fumes). Some douchebag in birkenstocks* was walking around saying, quite sarcastically, "mmm lets all breathe the nice fumes! Mmmm!!" like we're all idiots for turning our cars on. Then he got into a big ol Volvo. Not the most fuel efficient car on the block...

*disclaimer. I like Birks. It just REALLY fit the stereotype.

Back when I was in the Navy the most popular car for married junior officers in my neighborhood seemed to be a Volvo 244. Heck, I drove one for years myself. Our "Fly Navy" and "Reagan for President" stickers sort of broke with the established Volvo stereotype.

I think they take all the safety propaganda to heart and assume they are invulnerable. Like they think they are driving a tank.

Saw this on a jacked up Jeep the other day

Jack it up, fat chicks can't jump.

Well some might find it offensive, but i found it down right hilarious.

My most recent favorites (and ya, I think it was a Volvo),One with a drawing of a hiker, and the other with a drawing of a bicyclist, both said SHARE THE ROAD. I noticed these while I was sliding to a stop because the ditz driving had just pulled out in front of me. I guess share the road only goes so far.

I went through an extensive hunt and finally found one that I saw at Busch Gardens in Florida only to have it taken away and used by Mark. He said it was not an appropriate bumper sticker for someone who works at a school.

So far my all time favorite is:

I like the" My Other Car is a Zamboni" bumper stickers. When I was a teen I had a customized van(it was cool then)with a bumper sticker that said, Dont Laugh Your Daughter Could Be In Here. Not so funny now that my daughter is 14.

I did happen to notice that while I was driving at work a really old beat up BMW undertake me on a dual carriageway which had a "baby on board" sign stuck on the back window, "keep your distance-children on board" sticker on the boot and two occupied child seats with a third child in between kneeling back and waving out of the rear window at us.

It probably would have been fine had I not been driving an ambulance at the time with blue lights and sirens wailing at about 80mph.

Perhaps the driver didn't actually like her kids that much.
