I eventually got the Frogg Toggs, 2 days before a trip a week or so ago. It rained like the dickens on the way home and I stayed nice and dry. So, yes...they are water proof.
the fit was good except that the waist was really long and the legs were really short. The waist wasn't a problem, as it tucked up under the jacket and made a nice overlap. I think it's more of a comment on my weird body size than anything else, but if you have long legs, you may want to order a size up. Or maybe some boot gaiters.
