I took my first ride with my short TOR's installed today. I got a good deal on these silencers so I thought they would get me by until I buy a set of the long ones. I do believe that I will need to rejet. It was chilly though....about 48 degrees. (Yes Dinqua, it's 48 degrees.) It seemed to be running lean with a lag under light accelleration...even more so than normal. I intend on buying some long TOR's next year so I think I will go to 125's and see how it runs. Should be the same for the long TOR's. Anyone selling any by the way?

Try using 135 mains and 45 pilots with the short TORs. That was my set up before running K&Ns with the Freak and she performed well. I like the look and sound of my TOR short pipes.

Thanks Shakey. But I have no other mods. I may just go to 125's and be done. I don't plan on doing any other mods. I am going to leave her pretty much stock.

I put the short TORs on my speedy and love them. No re-jetting needed, and got a very noticable difference in performance and throttle response. I originally was leaning towards the long TORs, but after seeing the shorties in person, I have come to really like the more aggressive look of them. Only other mod to the bike is the AI removal.

Cheers,
Brad

The 135s were without other mods, just the short TORs. I use 145 mains with the K&Ns.

Really! That just seems like quite a big jump from stock. Did your bike seem to run lean when it was stock? Mine did from new. Has and still feels lean. It lags on light to medium accelleration. Worse now with the pipes. I was going to go to 125's....maybe I should go larger.
