When I was 18 I rear ended this girl in a neon and totaled my fullsize gmc pickup. She barely had any damage, so it was always an inside joke with my buddies.

So one day I was bored and animated the whole thing with lego men, it came out pretty good.

Yeah the whole process takes forever cause you gotta move the little guys arm, then record a half a second, then move another thing and record a half a second, and so on. You'll work on something for 8 hours and in the end have not even a minute of actual footage...ahah...not to mention the time spend on editing it all together.

Me and my buddy were working on a "behind the music" spoof done in lego that we've probably put in 24+ hours and only have a couple minutes of actual footage. We sorta shelved it for the past year because it gets so dam annoying.

This was in the days before I had my Triumph and a wife, so the free time was abundant. Its hard telling your wife that youre not "playing" with legos...youre "animating"..haha

the things you dont think about are the kinda things that drive you nuts...like if youre making a lego guy walk you have to have a shot of him from heal to toe and back and sometimes he dont wanna stay, so you gotta glob sticky tack clay stuff underneath each piece.

I did a breakdancing one once and it just looked like a lego guy spinning around in some yellow clay type material..ahah

I've been concentrating on the classic series. I have the first Millenium Falcon. AWESOME set to build. They'ce sort of re-released a few things in simpler versions. I think I have 3 iterations of the snow speeder... One of which came with that Hoth set.

I really need to get my sister to take pics of our Legoland in our parents basement. Train, monorail, boats, planes... Good stuff Too bad all my castles are boxed up!

Dude the mechanism is awesome. I saw a vid online of a guy who had rigged a remote up to it! With mine, you have to flip up the side pannel to flip a switch. Here's a link to my pics of the build process. Also one of our "save the date" for our wedding.

I have the Falcon too, took me a while to put it together. Also have an A-wing, B-Wing, X-wing, Y-wing, Luke and Yoda on Dagobah with X-Wing, Sand Speeder and Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine,Cloud car, some Jedi Starfighters, Tie fighters, Snow Speeder(I want the Hoth set), Imperial ships, more that I cant think of right now, hundreds of minifigs. Not too much from the newer movies, I'm a fan of the classics

Its actually a 6 legged spider that can crawl using pneumatic pumps & tubing to control everything. Every pump that compresses opens another valve to decompress and so on....or so the legend goes...

This isnt a kit, this guy just thought it up...heres a video

yeah brokenfixed was my old band...i wrote the songs & lyrics...then took over lead vocals when we lost the singer. we're in the process of doing a 10 song concept album since we "reunited" not too long ago, about the history of the band forming into present day. My other band you can hear here... www.myspace.com/vomitonthechildren I play the drums, some guitar, and lead vocals, i wrote the songs, and recorded, mixed/mastered everything in my basement

Thats pretty cool and took quite a bit of thought to put together.

Dude that motor is awesome!! I've always been more into the sets than re-creating things. I want to make a working drawbridge for my lego town. I think that would be sweet.

this v6 engines pretty cool cause the guy went into alot of detail with the cranks and whatnot http://youtube.com/watch?v=dBPz4f3_k8w

yeah i always been the opposite benny, i would build the set and have it sitting on the shelf, and then rip it apart just cause i wanted the pieces off it to make something else

on that one site bricklink, theres a section where people make their own plans for stuff and you can find what you wanna build and go to town...you might be able to find a drawbridge or something in there. Theres even a program that is more like a 3d plan set so it looks just like the authentic lego direction sets

I've heard of the Lego CAD. Sounds awesome. I think Lego has a thing where you can go online, design a set, and then buy the parts and basically have your custom set sent to you with instructions.
