Similar except there is even less technology involved. Buy the corn directly from a farmer and put it into a small silo out back, no making little pellets out of wood or anything. A farmer friend of mine says he can heat his (rather large) house all winter off the corn grown on less than an acre. He should know since he grows it. Living less than a mile from corn fields I'm thinking about it myself

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Wonder how that sucker would work on pine cones. God knows I've got enough of those ****** things in my yard to heat a 2500 sq ft house for 2 winters lately...

Or acorns. I had a pile that would have easily filled a 33 gal garbage can just from sweeping off my 20x20 deck all fall.

You may seriously be on to something there. Like all nuts, acorns have a very high fat content.

Oil content in most nuts is true, I remember a trick when camping as a kid where we lit an almond to use as a candle.

EDIT: Maybe it was a cashew but it burned quite a while and lit the place well enough.
