I also owned a mid 70's Yammy DT400. Had a blast on that thing. Liz and I toured all over on that shaking, smoking single. I have some photos of me riding a wheelie over the historic (and closed to traffic..) Burnside Bridge at Antietam Battlefield. I think the statute of limitations might have ran out on that one, maybe I'll scan it.

Yep same with the 74 ,I think, DT360 I had, it was a 400 with a shorter stroke. Loved that bike,I would still have it if it hadn't been stolen. Bought my junk bucket Pan after that. I rode that 360 to and from the Poconos from Bethlehem up the highways almost every weekend. Then would play in the dirt with it too. That bike was great fun and never gave me 1 problem that wasn't of my own doing. Also used to ride my grandfathers 66 Yamaha YL-100, a 1966 twin cyl. 100CC bike. You want to talk about comical pistons! Imagine the size of 2 50cc pistons in there! LOL That was a good bike though too bad it sold at auction after he died. I should have kept that. It had 6,000 miles on it and was like new. Sold for like $300.
