If anyone cares, I also use the Shell Rotella T synthetic oil for deisels. I have a lot of miles with it and have not had any problems, even with the extra cubes. I also have both the temp and pressure gauges and they are both exactly where they should be at all times. Life is good at <$20/oil change. No worries from me. In fact, my bike seems to run a few degrees cooler than everyone elses, and I have checked the calibration of the temp gauge.
