Let me add to this. The Bubs, along with Thunderbike pipes, are, as far as I know for absolute certainty, the only two manufacturers that have actually spent a great deal of time and money tuning the pipes to balance perfectly with our bikes. Thus they are the ones that offer the best breathing and superior performance. Now before everyone jumps all in my poop, rremember that the other guys (Sceptre, SS, Epco etc) all make mighty fine products, they have just not spent the time with dynos and engineers (not like mert that drive a train type engineer....) to tune their pipes for performance, they just sound better and some work just fine, just not as fine as Bubs or Thunderbike. So, my vote is for the Bubs all the way. I have also owned TORs, even have a spare set in the garage, (wanna sound like a fart machine? Use the TORs ) and now the Thunderbike pipes. If I had to get another set, they would be either the bubs or Thunderbike. Probably the bubs since I already have the Tpipes. They were actually what I was trying to get when I bought my Tpipes, but Bubs were very hard to come by and slow in the manufacture end for the long slash cuts. By the way, the Bubs are also the pipes that Bill Gately ( Bonneville Performance ) receoomend for his Mikuni HSR42 setups.
Is that why my friends have been calling me an "old fart" lately. Now if I could just rigg it for some smell, I'd be really annoying and happy!
