I don't know if any local dealers have Triumph Americas for hire. Besides, it wouldn't be my bike. I couldn't really talk about the "for hire" bike or point out the things I modified, my riding "scars", problems I ran into, etc...

True, it would save me a quite a few US dollars (and half as many quid ) in shipping costs, but I would love to take MY bike out to explore the UK (and Europe).

Ehh...it's all wishful thinking for now. We have some great scenery around the Pacific Northwest that I am sure y'all would love to explore on your bikes as well. I am going to have to make a point of visiting Cornwall the next time I get a chance to go to the UK. I was hoping to get over in April (on business) and catch Rick Wakeman as he does his little tour around the UK, but that is not going to happen.
