don't know why but 1 out of 3 times i try to go to photopost the pics won't completely load & my computer freezes up like an ice cube.
i end up shutting it down via power switch, running scan disc & starting over. most times problem just continues.
anyone else having the same problem?
i'm wondering if it's because i still use dial-up, is it my explorer or is the problem at the site?

hey jeff,
it is possible that the dial up modem is contributing to your freeze out. Have you tried uploading a very small phot file -- 50-60 kb?
Is cable service available where you are? It is definitely an asset on sites like this.

mert,larryshep -
appreciate response . likely the size of the files though i'm a computer idiot myself.
we have dsl available here but i'm highly rural with only choice being local phone co. so it's expensive.
can't understand that i had no problems with old board . perhaps problem is that new set-up has to load all in a cache before it opens? most days i can't get it to open the photos that just come in with the forum opening.

I get that sometimes also. Photo pages freeze or don't download completely. Had no problem posting or uploading photos (once I got the key sequence correct). What happens most commonly is when I "back out" of a photo page, the ba.com banner fails to load. Some days it behaves perfectly. Being a frugal person I am also on dial-up. Dial-up seems to have fast speedy days and slower balky days.

The browser on my work computer hangs most of the time when I try to view the photos. It looks like it's trying to load the pp-header.jpg file but just sits there. At home I haven't had any problems yet trying to view the photos (work is IE5.5 on a T1 link, home is IE6 on dial-up, go figure).

My computer at home won't load all the pics from Photopost here, and if I try to look at them it then effects other websites pics. I have a cable modem, and I'm running XP Pro + IE 6.

Happens from hame at dial-up and at work with T1 line. Not related to file size in that regard, seems like a bug in the works. You can copy the picture link (from properties) and view it in a separate explorer. So the pictures are acessable

I have the same problem with the images not loading completely... seems to be getting hung up on the header. Once one doesn't load, none of them will (besides the ones I've already viewed) I have a decent connection too with a cable modem.
