Thanks for your replies, folks. As I stated in my original post, I intend to make my own bracket and I was after input on design and locating it, etc. The links were a big help in this regard and I'm just waiting on a solo seat (I might alter my stock seat) so I can get stuck into modding!!

FYI: in the UK, there are 2 types of MOT's (a yearly test to ensure the roadworthiness of a vehicle): full or daylight-only. The full one requires an e-marked number-plate light. The daylight-only one is the same with the exception that the vehicle doesn't have any lights at all, including the number plate light. You can only ride it between dawn and dusk and as long as visibility is good.
