Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Hey, this spammer has shown me a lot of old interesting threads that I would have missed out on otherwise BTW, it was the handlebars and pillion seat that made the America the one for me

Personally, at this point, I wouldn't make the choice based on single or dual brakes. I've got a single (BA) and it is still a 1 finger stopper. If you use 2 or more, you may stop A LOT quicker, maybe quicker than you want. The single is more than enough even in "panic" situations. what looks best to you - what feels/fits best to you? That's the real question. (and NO, Keith, my brakes AREN'T wood, too )
I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I was going.

the dual disc front brake on the speedy means you get to buy two sets of pads at a time.. but the 2nd disc is really not needed.. single disc front is all you need.. my 07 speedy WAS a thrill...loved the black center/aluminum wheel. the FHP officer wrote the tow ticket as "custom wheels" I loved and prefered my speedmaster (black of course)the fastest of the fast..and the front brakes never failed to impress.. but really, It's just a matter or YOUR taste.. after all.. YOU are the only one you have to please..
07 SPEEDMASTER ..SLASHCUT BUBS..
NOLOGY COILS/WIRES ..PHANTOM BLACK ..CHROME COVERS...K&N PODS..

Ride both and buy the one that has the best feel. The difference in braking will not be all that great on bikes that weigh less than 650 pounds and go less than 150 MPH. The only differences are how they look (meaningless if you spend your time riding 'cause you can't see that much from the seat) and the riding position. The gunfighter seat and drag bars may look "cool", but not everyone finds them comfortable for long rides.
