2006 America. Put d&d pipes on, rejetted to 130 mains, 3 turns out on pilot screws, Ai removed, factory filter. When I start her, one big bang! Then shes ok. Will carb sync help?
Popping on startup is an indication of too much gas at startup. Do not give it any throttle at all when starting, or maybe lower the idle a tad. Syncing may help a little, but most likely a fuel rich idle issue.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Thanks Pat. Changed my rear pads yesterday @7700 miles. I could not have picked a more optimal time based on the wear. Got the sintered pads from Brent. I set my laptop up in the garage & followed the instructions on your site, 1,2,3 done. Thanks!!
If it was a big from under the seat it definately the air box... scary too!
