My old Impala had that as an "annoyance screen". The cure, turn on the ignition, step on the throttle three times (or was it two?), turn off the ignition. Presto, light's off when you start next time. Apparently the odometer trips that idiot light to get you to the dealership. Might be different with Ford, Autozone is an easy check up.
