Oh I don't know, how about NASA? Temperatures have not gone up in the last 10 years and this last winter was one of the coldest on record.
That's not what I'm seeing. Here's a quote from the NASA website.
GISS Surface Temperature Analysis Global Temperature Trends: 2007 Summation
The year 2007 tied for second warmest in the period of instrumental data, behind the record warmth of 2005, in the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) analysis. 2007 tied 1998, which had leapt a remarkable 0.2°C above the prior record with the help of the "El Niño of the century". The unusual warmth in 2007 is noteworthy because it occurs at a time when solar irradiance is at a minimum and the equatorial Pacific Ocean is in the cool phase of its natural El Niño-La Niña cycle.

Antarctic ice is building
Where do you get that? Check this out from March 2008. National Snow And Ice Data Center
Satellite imagery from the National Snow and Ice Data Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder reveals that a 13,680 square kilometer (5,282 square mile) ice shelf has begun to collapse because of rapid climate change in a fast-warming region of Antarctica.

and Arctic ice packs have rebounded to 1970's levels in a single year. Look it up before you buy the hoaxers alarmism.
I can't find anything that says the ice has rebounded to 1970's levels.

If you're not disowning him then why do you whine whenever we refer to him?
Because it's an ad hominem attack. It's not a real argument. It sounds political and it deflects the real issue. You are attacking the messenger and ignoring the message.

The global warming proponents are even more political than those who doubt it. That is why they are defaming those who demand proof rather than alarmism. Anyone who doubts Algore and his minons are accused of being sellouts and equal to holocaust deniers. The hoaxers don't have proof but they do have clout. By the way, who amoung the alramists does not have a financial or political reason to so so?
I can't argue this. This is purely opinion. If you see everyone as a politician, then I guess that is your view of the world.

Once again, what proof is there that global warming is man made? That the trillions of dollars the hoaxers demand we squander on stopping it will do any good?
First of all, asking for "proof" is a word trap. You can sit back smugly, knowing that an offering of proof can always be contested. You will say "That is not proof. That is not what I wanted. Show me the proof." over and over and over again.
A reasoned man will say show me compelling evidence. I don't know what you are looking for, or what you see to make you think the way you do, but here is what I see. This is the evidence that compels me.
I see the Keeling curve, which is just a simple graph of instrument readings. The readings are the same where ever they are taken on the globe, showing a steady, consistent, increasing rise in CO2. (currently 1.7 ppm increase per year)
I see over 700 million registered motor vehicles worldwide, and growing very fast. This doesn't include a bunch of other kinds of non-vehicle gasoline and diesel engines.
I see 3 billion barrels of oil consumed every year world wide, most of which is converted directly into CO2 (and water) by combustion.
I see over 5 billion tons of coal burned every year worldwide.
I see over 6 billion tons (and increasing) of carbon being dumped into the atmosphere every year, by conservative estimates. (BTW, this is more than 100 times the average yearly volcanic outgassing of carbon, contrary to the guesses made in some previous posts.)
I see ongoing deforestation which diminishes the absorbtion, and increases the emission of CO2.
By understanding a little chemistry I know that CO2 absorbs certain wavelengths of radiant energy (sunlight) and produces heat. This is also true of water vapor, methane, and several other common gases found in the atmosphere.
None of this is politically contrived. These are documented facts. These numbers are staggering. They are almost impossible to comprehend. They concern me because I understand that the atmosphere is big, but not infinite, and it has limits.

Show ME the money before you demand I allow politicians and bureaucrats to run my life and reduce my standard of living.
I haven't demanded anything of you. I have asked you to tell me why you believe the things you do. I am trying to understand why you don't see the things I see and feel concerned as I do. I don't think Al Gore is the issue. I think a billion tailpipes and fifty thousand smokestacks are the issue.
