FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) on it if you had 1000 years to complete it.
Do you work in automotive by any chance? As soon as I saw FMEA, I said, aha, Engineer!! That would be an interesting excercise!!! And how about a control plan? Crap, don't even think you could get past the Process Flow, since we are a LOOOONNNNGG way from understanding all of the variables that go into making this machine we call home tick. If you're a fan of all the cheery shows on Discovery and the Science channel now like "Life after Humans" which disects what will happen to all of our stuff if we were to suddenly go poof, then you'll realize that there's no need to worry since the Sun is going to either shrink into a White Dwarf or swell into a Red Giant, so we'll either be cooked alive by Gamma rays or the sun will swell in size (before collapsing into a Black Hole) to the point that Venus and Mercury will be vaporized and the temperature on Earth will be raised to the point that Mercury is now, and all the worrying will be pointless. So, hope I've brightened everyone's day now, tata!!
