Does anyone out there own a pair or know anything about Milwaukee afterburner or trooper boots? I'm considering getting a pair but no one around my area seems to sell them so I'm limited to buying online. Without having tried them on, I'm not sure what size to get or if they're even comfortable. Let me know.

Those boots look great online. I was thinking of purchasing a pair myself so I called the company directly. I wanted to know where the boots were made...and you guessed it...made in China. Since I'm trying not to buy Chinese products...I'm back to the drawing board. Those boots do look great though...so if you don't care where they're made, go for it.

No way I would ever buy clothing, especially boots, if I can't try them on. Especially from overseas! Foreigner's size standards can be really tricky!

I picked up a pair of River Road Double Zipper Field boots at a local bike shop (Renton Motorcycle) so I could check the fit. They do look similar to the Milwaukee Boots mwillard54 is looking at River Road Double Zipper Field weblink. The price was right and I like them, but took a little bit to get used to the "stubby toe" when shifting up. The only thing I don't like is the little logo tag on the laces. It looks very similar to the OCC logo.

If you sift through Red Wind and Chippewa's boots you can find some that are still made on-shore but they both outsource to China these days just like everybody else so you have to be picky.
I just replaced my Guide Gear USA made polished uniform boots with an exact model from them only to find they've outsourced those same boots...7 years ago they were made here, now they're Chinese...dang.

Well, I got my Milwaukee Afterburner boots in the mail yesterday, I've worn an 11 1/2 in every shoe i've had since i was 18. Apparently Milwaukee is the exception because I should be wearing an 11. So i sent the boots back and got the Milwaukee Trooper boots instead(the Afterburner boots were to big in the leg for me). Despite the size issues, a very nice looking boot and very comfortable for the limited time i had them on my feet.
