Jack is definitely one of the best ways, otherwise you can try a Pit stand, kind of like what Sport Bikes use. My friend had a "pit bull" for his '01 Triumph TT600, and granted it took us both to get my Speedmaster off, and on, the thing, it worked, and once on the pit bull, the bike was fairly stable.
