For whatever reason, the OL decided that I need another dog. So, Wednesday, we ended up with an 8 week old pup. She is a black/white husky wolf mix with one blue eye. I swear, this mutt is growing 1/2 to 3/4 inch a day! She got her first shots on the way home and, as a result, she has to go out every 20 minutes. So, I get to alternate between feeling bad because I can't go for a ride on days like yesterday and wishing I could stay inside on snowy days like today. At the rate she's growing, she'll be able to go out back with the big dogs in a few weeks and then I'll be free! In 6 months or so, she'll probably be big enough that I'll have to buy her a bike and teach her to ride. The corgi feels she has to go out front with the pup and that's getting to be a problem. There are some cows in the field across the road and she wants to go herd them.

We have 3 cats. Sometimes they play along, especially the main coon, who is nearly as big as a cow. I have never seen a mean corgi, so they will probably get along just fine.

Interesting, I had a neighbor that owned a wolf/german shepard mix, It also had one blue eye, I wonder if that is a common trait in wolf/dog hybrids.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

Blue eyes are more common with the husky breeds, than german shepards. It was probably a german shepard mixed with a wolf/husky hybrid. I have 2 pure bred siberian huskys, the male has bi colored eyes, and the female has both blue eyes.
Theyre a handful cause theyre the closest dog breed to wolves, which makes them hard to train, particularly housebreaking...haha...another big problem with them is they just wanna roam, but they dont have good homing abilities like other dogs, so if you leave the door open theyre gone and they most likely wont find their way back.

I have a purebread Husky also, not to be trusted off leash. They like to hunt small animals, cats, rabbits, birds, magpies. Training wasn't bad, this is my second one. They have a pack mentality, have to show him who's the lead dog, not hard to tell where he figures his position is in the family. Mines a male, the females, especially wolf mixes, like to dig big holes in your yard to bed in. Good luck.

Ha I was recently watching a show about dog training when the question was asked "What are the easiest and most difficult breeds to train?†The answer was that the labs, retrievers and border collies were the easiest and that the husky, chow, and some other were the most difficult. Heck, I could have told them that! My two dogs are a purebred Siberian husky female and a mostly chow male. Stubborn and willful are deeply imbedded in their DNA. The Husky has striking blue eyes and wolf like markings that make her so pretty I forgive her playful disobedience and total lack of protective instinct. She does indeed love to roam, and make me chase her if she sees me looking for her. So far she has always made it home though. I have her well tagged and a chip in her shoulder just in case. She loves people and other dogs, all other creatures are prey animals. Great dogs but you have to accept them for what they are.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

yeah and the suckers can jump like gazelles...its impossible to keep them in one room while you got a rabbit running around while his cage is clean...ahha Both of them jumped over 2 babygates stacked on top of each other..maybe 5' high or so...they both almost nipped the rabbit before i got to them.
My male is a rare color, its sort of a mix between a red and white, he was being trained to be a show dog from the original breeder, but one of his balls didnt drop so he was flawed in the show dog world...haha...gotta good deal on him
