So me and Kimmy and Amber, our 9 year old, load up this morning in the Altima and head for Perry, Georgia...where my son (9th grader) and his JROTC Drill Team are competing in the State finals...He left Friday on the bus with the team, and they had a blast...I gotta tell ya, I have never felt that level of pride in my life...that dude was "standing tall and looking good"...He placed 1st, with a nice medal, for the "IDR" (individual drill regulation), which is where, like 20 or so cadets all play a game of "Simon Says", with "left face, right face, about face, etc..until someone slips...That boy has definitely got it...and he's only in the 9th grade! We expect him to be running the whole team by the end of next year... Ok..so I (kimmy..too tired to change names right now) haven't been on in a while so I didn't know photo post was down. So...someone...with a bit more computer knowledge (any one of my kids) is going to do the photo bucket thing so you can see our "proud parent" pics.

Now I like that! Could it be cuz I'm an Air Force Vet? Hmmmm------
So is he going to enlist in the Air Force after graduation? He couldn't pick a better branch.
Congrats to a very proud Dad.

As another slightly biased Air Force vet, I have to say I am proud by proxy. Congrats to him and to you for raising such a fine lad.

Ok...HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT...Brad and I spent an hour last night trying different ways to get it posted...Thanks for getting them up there. His plans are Air Force, College or College/Air Force, which ever one gets him to fly. I am super proud. This is my 3rd drill meet and the first time he has placed so high in knockout.

So is this the same "trouble maker" that you posted about last year? What a turn around! And, good for all of you, proud parents as well as good kid...must be doing something right.

Yep...same kid and it hasn't been an easy transition. Finally got the grades going in the right direction...Drill team helps with that..can't be on with bad grades..Gotten the attitude to a minimum (still testing though) and thanks to the help of a lot of advice from a few online friends I'm sure we're not completely through all of it but when he sees all of us there for these events, he knows how much he really means to the family..and that I think goes farther than anything else.

use this part of bonnyusa post... this will let you post a pic from the web.. from photobucket.com to myspace .com to the post you talking about you don't need the photo post to do this.... Posting: I only have information for doing this on a PC so if you use a MAC, can you help out? Go to your gallery where the pic is that you want to post. Click on the thumbnail to get to the pic and get it out of thumbnail mode. If it says 'Click on image to view larger image' below your pic, you are in 'medium mode'. Either leave it in medium mode or click it to get the full size version. Right click on the picture and click Properties on the subsequent popup. In the middle of the Properties page is the Address:(URL). Copy the link (should have JPG as an extension). Here is an example (note the -med near the end of the first one. It is the smaller version): Go to where you want to post the pic and click Image in the Instant UBB Tags and paste the copied URL there. OR You can manually add the img tags on either end of the URL you copied like this: (I have to use braces {} instead of brackets [] to illustate, you must use brackets) That's about it. I will add more as you and I think of it! Ed

It wouldn't embed for you because you were trying to do it from the slide show page. You have to go into where there are the individual shots. It will have a white background for the pix. To the lower right there are 4 URLs. Copy the direct link URL and paste it into the image UBB window. You are welcome, I saw you seemed to be having trouble doing it. Glad to help.

For Mac OS X to get the image address ctrl+click and choose Copy Image from the pop out menu. The rest of Ed's instructions work the same on a Mac. I think I've managed to post a PNG file or two as well as JPG in the past. JPEG will not post, must be a UBB thing...
