Quote:

How many miles a day do you drive? my round trip to work is 8 miles ... You are off base preaching saving the planet if your driving a butt load of miles and taking tax breaks for it

I am not sure I understand. My drive changes from as minimal as 12 miles per day to 100 per day depending on where I need to be for work....I have a regular office (the 12 miles) but travel to 9 different locations to complete the majority of my work.

If I drive a car that gets the best possible gas mileage and emits the least amounts of toxins into the air....I am therefore burning less fossil fuels....whether it be for a 12 mile trip or a 100 mile trip How can that not help?

I am guessing your point was the I drive alot of miles but am preaching to save the plannet so I should get a job I can walk to or ride a bicycle to....hey take public transportation......Now that type of statement is preaching in my opinion. I choose to live where I do and work where I do. Everyone should have the same rights.....If I feasibly could find a job that pays the same and I enjoy and would allow me to walk to work etc then I would. I do not have that option at this time. I do not care what anyone does for a living. I really dont care what they choose to drive or how far they choose to drive it. I am mearly suggesting....yes suggesting....not preaching to consider some alternatives.

And getting a tax break? How does taking the tax break hurt the environment?

The whole quote was confusing.
