If you all didn't watch Beofulf in IMAX you missed out. Spectuacualr in IMAX for sure. Since I do this for a living I was able to catch the subtle mistakes in the Stereoscopic effect, some were minor, some were huge.
I still think that they should let the animators animate instead of trying of clean up motion capture data; it is time consuming and at the end the brain is no longer fooled that it is in fact 3d and not live action. Motion capture makes the characters look like lifeless zombies, something animators can improve a heck of a lot. Anyway, a huge step forward from The Polar Express (zombie-ville).
