Thats funny. Just yesterday I was talking to a guy outside my dealer's who had a 883. He parked next to me. He only glanced at my bike but we struck up a conversation of sorts. I was making conversation and pointing out the bits on his bike I liked (new paint, recessed gas cap, etc.) but for every good comment I made he made a negative comment about the same, sort of like reverse appreciation. After a half hour of telling me he didn't like this and that, that and the ride, etc., he said that he really liked the bike!?
He was going to trailer it next week down to his brother-in-laws in Georgia so he could get some early riding time. He was so engrossed about talking about his bike (negatively) that I couldn't get a word in edgewise about the good points on mine.
